Longtime business journalist Aaron Task has joined investment news site SeekingAlpha.com as vice president of contributor content.

In October, Seeking Alpha started a podcast channel “Alpha Trader” featuring Task as one of its hosts.

He most recently was editor in chief of Experian. Task had been editor in chief of Fortune.com until November 2016.

Task joined Fortune after time at Yahoo Finance, where he was editor in chief. During his time at Fortune, he pushed the web operation to a 30 percent increase in organic traffic vs. 2015 and a 160 percent increase in video starts.

Before joining Yahoo in 2008, he spent 10 years at TheStreet.com in a variety of roles, including executive editor.  He also served as the on-camera host for Yahoo’s video efforts.

He is the winner of a number of journalism awards and contributing editor, with Barry Ritholtz, of the 2008 book “Bailout Nation.”
