Beth Potter has been named the new business editor at the Tacoma News Tribune. She replaces Marce Edwards, who left the paper.
“‘What stood out for me is the breadth of her experience as well as her interest and expertise in business journalism,’ said managing editor Dale Phelps.‘Business news is especially important right now, given our current economic climate. I want Beth and the talented reporters she inherits to give our readers the information they need to navigate through these tough times.’
“Here are Potter’s goals for the section: ‘We want you to feel like the smartest person in the room when you talk to colleagues and friends about what’s going on in the local business community,’ she said. ‘We also want to give you business news you can use in your daily life, from local consumer tips and real estate statistics to business advice from national columnists.'”
