STAT has hired Insider reporter Mohana Ravindranath to cover health technology.
She will start on Dec. 27.
She has been at Insider since June. Ravindranath has previously worked at Politico.
She also worked at Nextgov, Atlantic Media’s site for IT and government technology news, focusing on civilian agency technology and IT policy, with an eye toward Capitol Hill and congressional action as it relates to technology.
Before that, Ravindranath worked at The Washington Post, where she covered small businesses, start-up financing, employment and information technology. She wrote the weekly “On I.T.” feature for the Post’s Monday print edition, daily blog entries for the Post’s website, and other stories for the Post and its local business magazine, Capital Business.
Ravindranath has also previously written about small business issues, start-ups and entrepreneurship, and city news for The Philadelphia Inquirer and Business Insider.
