Sportico, the website covering sports business launching from Penske Media, has hired an editor, managing editor and five reporters.
Sarah Kwak is the new editor. She previously was a senior editor at Sports Illustrated, which she joined in 2007. She was also a writer-reporter and associate editor at the magazine. As senior editor, she wrote and edited the Scorecard section and the front-of-book section of the magazine, in addition to maintaining all editing duties on the NHL, golf and Olympic sports beats.
Matt Bok has been hired as the managing editor. He previously was an associate editor at Front Office Sports. He previously spent seven years at Bloomberg in Washington and London and is a former minor league baseball player in the Los Angeles Dodgers system.
Mike Freeman has been hired as a sports business reporter. He previously covered the NFL for Bleacher Report. He has previously written for The New York Times, Washington Post, Dallas Morning News, Boston Globe, Florida Times-Union and CBSSports.com. He is also the author of five books, including a biography on Florida State football coach Bobby Bowden.

Sports media reporter Anthony Crupi, sports finance reporter Brendan Coffey, junior sports business reporter Emily Caron and junior sports business reporter Randall Williams have also been hired.
