Sportico, a business news organization launching this summer, has hired Bloomberg News sports business journalist Eben Novy-Williams.
Novy-Williams has been at Bloomberg News since August 2020. He previously was a clerk at the New York Post. He will start at Sportico on May 26 and cover sports business.
In addition, Sportico has hired sports law expert Michael McCann from Sports Illustrated. He will start on June 8 and cover sports law.
The news organization has also hired valuation expert Peter Schwartz and Corey Leff, who will bring his JohnWallStreet franchise to Sportico. Schwartz will cover valuations and law and will start June 1.
Sportico will have offices in New York and Los Angeles.
Its editor and head of content is Scott Soshnick, a former Bloomberg News sports business reporter.
