Spokesman-Review reader wants love for the biz section
February 13, 2006
Doug Hughes, who is a subscriber/reader of the Spokane Spokesman-Review, posted a comment on the newspapers “News is a Conversation” blog today asking about the business section and where it is placed every day.
Hughes wrote, “The business section is great, but it’s normally stuck on the back of the front page.
“Take the business page, the stock quotes, and the classified ads and put them all into one section and let business lead the section. Call it section “B” because, well, it starts with a “B” anyway.
“Sports, which normally has enough stuff to print, can fill up 6 to 8 pages, more than biz, which makes for a slightly smaller but still substantial enough section.
“Just a thought/suggestion about why the biz doesn’t get the love.”
