Former Smart Money editor Jonathan Dahl has joined the search firm Korn Ferry as a vice president and chief content officer.

He will oversee print and digital news content, including its Briefings magazine and the Korn Ferry Institute website.

Prior to joining Korn Ferry, Dahl served as editor in chief at two publications for The Wall Street Journal — SmartMoney and WSJMoney — as well as an editor on Page One. Most recently, he was managing editor at digital magazine Ozy.com

Dahl began his career as a reporter for the Journal, where he later became one of the founding editors of the Weekend Journal. Under his tenure, SmartMoney and SmartMoney.com won more than 20 national awards; he also supervised Page One coverage of a Pulitzer Prize finalist in 2014.

He is the author of “1,001 Things They Won’t Tell You.”

“Jonathan’s combined experience in both traditional and modern storytelling will be an asset to our firm as we continue to extend the Korn Ferry brand and assist our clients in helping to release the full power and potential of their people,” says Michael Distefano, senior vice president and chief marketing officer of Korn Ferry, in a statement.

Dahl holds a M.S. degree from Columbia University’s Graduate School of Journalism, and a B.A., summa cum laude degree from Columbia College.
