Emma Scott has been hired by The Wall Street Journal to be a senior video journalist on the news and analysis team in New York.
Scott comes to WSJ from the Times-Picayune in New Orleans, where she was a lead video journalist. There she covered a wide range of stories including the removal of the Confederate monuments, regional weather disasters, as well as the long-lasting effects of violence on local children.
Prior to her time in New Orleans, Scott worked for Agence France-Presse in Washington, D.C., and received a master’s in new media photojournalism from the Corcoran College of Art + Design.
She is a member of the 2019 Online News Association’s Women’s Leadership Accelerator.
