Schleifer departs Recode to launch media company

Teddy Schleifer

Teddy Schleifer, a senior reporter covering money and influence at Vox’s Recode is departing to launch a new media company.

He previously was a political reporter at CNN.

Schleifer is helping to build out a new investor-backed publication that is launching later this year. Schleifer will continue covering billionaires and their influence in politics, philanthropy and technology.

In advance of the publication’s launch, he is writing a new newsletter called The Stratosphere.

Schleifer is a graduate of Princeton University.
