Wong comes to the paper from The Statesman Journal in Salem, Ore., where she covered education. Before that she covered Oregon state government for the paper.
She has also worked at the Seattle Times, Sacramento Bee, U.S. News & World Report and the Washington, D.C., bureau of McClatchy Newspapers.
Wong is a graduate of Washington & Lee University.
