Tony Quesada, a veteran business journalist, is returning to Texas to be editor in chief of the San Antonio Business Journal and will join the paper later this month.

A story on its website states, “As the editor in chief, Quesada will lead the Business Journal’s newsroom in both its digital and print products and in growing audience and engagement in those products.

“‘Professionally, few cities are more appealing for a business journalist than San Antonio, with its diverse range of industries and a sense of history and tradition that co-exists with an energetic entrepreneurial spirit. And with its move to The Pearl Brewery redevelopment, the SABJ is poised to tap into both,’ Quesada said.

“Quesada was managing editor of the San Diego Business Journal for the past year and before that was managing editor of the Austin Business Journal. He has also worked for newspapers in El Paso and Florida, including the Jacksonville Business Journal. He also served as an officer in the U.S. Navy for 11 years.

“San Antonio Business Journal is part of American City Business Journals, which is the nation’s premiere print and digital publisher of local business news.”
