Sergio Chapa, has been hired as the energy reporter for the San Antonio Business Journal.
Chapa writes, “I’ll be reporting about the issues and business opportunities taking place in the Eagle Ford Shale oil boom region as well as keeping an eye on Mexico’s energy reforms.
“After covering Mexico’s drug war for the Harlingen-based CBS affiliate KGBT-TV for the last six-years, I’m very excited to report on those energy reforms and what they mean to people on both sides of the border.
“While oil prices may rise or fall, San Antonio stands to benefit greatly in the long-term from the oil boom taking place in South Texas and Northern Mexico.
“The Alamo City is quickly becoming a logistics capital for equipment while the city’s young population will become the model for the 21st Century workforce in Texas.”
