The Society of American Business Editors and Writers will hold a conference call Wednesday for business journalists who are covering the current mortgage industry crisis and want to get a better handle on the issues.
The moderator will be Ilyce R. Glink, an award-winning, nationally-syndicated real estate and personal finance columnist whose column runs in more than 125 newspapers and websites. Glink also hosts “The Ilyce Glink Show and the “Ilyce Glink Minute for Newstalk 750 WSB, in Atlanta. She has written 11 books, including the bestselling 100 Questions Every First-Time Home Buyer Should Ask.
Panelists on the call will include Greg Ip, a senior special writer for The Wall Street Journal, based in Washington. He covers the Federal Reserve, the economy, financial markets and economic policy. His authoritative reports are mandatory reading from Washington politicians to Wall Street investors.
Also on the call will be Jon Lansner, a business columnist and author of a successful real estate blog for the Orange County Register. Some describe California as ground zero of the current mortgage woes and Lansner is one of the leading writers on the subject. Jon was president of SABEW in 2005-06.
To participate, SABEW will send the conference call number and passcode for the call Tuesday to its members. Simply use this number to call in and access the free conference call.
If you have any questions, or need additional information, feel free to contact the SABEW office at 573-882-7862 or via e-mail at sabew@missouri.edu.
