Richmond weekly devoted to stocks debuts

The Richmond (Va.) Times-Dispatch rolled out a free 8-page stock and financial market review section that’s delivered each week to Saturday subscribers, according to the Web site Newspapers & Technology.

The paper said the section includes full stock and mutual fund listings as well as a market snapshot and weekly summary.

The Times-Dispatch launched the section after it eliminated its daily stock listings last month. More than 10,000 subscribers are receiving the new weekly section, the paper said.

“We are pleased with the reception this section has received,� said Times-Dispatch President and Publisher Tom Silvestri.
