Alexa Gagosz is leaving the Providence Business News, where she covered all things COVID-19, health care, state government and hospitality.
Her last day is Wednesday. She plans to freelance and look for a new job.
Previously, Gagosz was working as a freelance reporter at El Mundo Boston and as a freelance political reporter at Banner Publications Inc. She also served as digital editor and director at The Scope writing stories on social justice issues while overseeing the outlet’s social media platforms.
Gagosz also held the post of editor-in-chief at The Suffolk Journal, a position she was promoted to after roughly two years working as an international news editor at the company. She was also a national editor at Uloop and brand ambassador for Uber.
Gagosz earned her bachelor’s degree in political science, government and journalism from Suffolk University. She is also M.A. in media innovation from Northeastern University.
