Kurt Wagner, who has been covering social media for Mashable, has been hired by tech news site Re/code to cover the same beat.
He replaces Mike Isaac, who left Re/code in June to join the New York Times.
Wagner will start on Aug. 4 and will be based in San Francisco.
At Mashable, Wagner reports on breaking news, executive turnover, business strategies, and consumer products while covering the world’s largest social media companies, including Facebook, Twitter, Pinterest, LinkedIn and Google.
Prior to Mashable, Wagner was a tech reporter at Fortune. He holds a B.S. in communication and political science from Santa Clara University.
