Dan Frommer, the editor in chief of tech news site Recode, is leaving as the site shifts into being part of Vox.com.

Frommer has been in charge of the site since February 2016.

Before joining Recode, Frommer was tech editor at Quartz, a global business news publication then owned by Atlantic Media.

In 2011, Frommer founded SplatF, an independent news and analysis site focused on Apple and mobile. Later, he created City Notes, a travel-focused media startup.
