Business journalist Russell Ray has been hired as editor of The Journal Record, a business and legal newspaper based in Oklahoma City.
A story on its website states, “For the last seven years, Ray has been editor-in-chief of Power Engineering magazine and chairman of POWER-GEN International.
“Power Engineering is the world’s largest business-to-business magazine for the power sector, serving more than 70,000 readers. Ray was responsible for all editorial content, including a regular column he wrote on energy policy, pricing and technology.
“Previously, Ray was a business reporter for The Tampa Tribune, Tulsa World and Arkansas Democrat-Gazette. For eight years, he covered the energy industry in Oklahoma and Texas for the Tulsa World. He has also covered the insurance market in Florida along with energy and agriculture for The Tampa Tribune. In total, Ray has spent 25 years in journalism.”
