Quartz has appointed Natalie Diamond to the role of chief revenue officer, responsible for the company’s advertising business.

Diamond joined Quartz in 2014 and most recently served as vice president of partnerships and managed the global sales team.

“From the time she arrived at Quartz, Natalie quickly distinguished herself as our most effective, tenacious, and creative salesperson,” said Zach Seward, CEO of Quartz. “In addition to her sharp articulation of what we need to do as well as a clear plan for doing so, she also embodies the spirit of creativity and reinvention that has propelled our advertising business to date. I am excited to work closely with Natalie in this next exciting chapter for Quartz.”

Added Diamond, “I am beyond excited for the opportunity to be a leader within an organization pushing the boundaries on progressive business journalism. I believe deeply in our mission, our products and our people and look forward to continuing to maintain a high bar of excellence for the work we do on behalf of our brand partners.”

Prior to joining Quartz, Diamond, 38, held advertising roles with The Wall Street Journal and BBC while based in London, as well as Popular Science, MediaCom and Starcom MediaVest Group. She graduated from Boston University with a bachelor’s degree in advertising.
