Quartz editor in chief Katherine Bell has announced two additions to the newsroom: Adario Strange, a media and entertainment reporter, and Nate DiCamillo, an economics reporter.
Adario Strange, media and entertainment reporter
Adario comes to Quartz from Next Reality, a site focused on augmented and virtual reality, where he was the lead editor. Previously he was a reporter and weekend editor at Mashable, where he covered tech, media, and entertainment. Adario also lived and worked in Japan, where he served as editor-in-chief of the American Chamber of Commerce of Japan’s Business Journal. He speaks basic Japanese and is based in New York. Adario starts mid-October.
Nate DiCamillo, economics reporter
Nate DiCamillo also starts in mid-October, joining our economics and finance team, based in New York. Nate comes to Quartz from CoinDesk, where he was a banking and economics reporter and ran news investigations into crypto-lending startups. Previously he covered fintech and credit unions at American Banker, and he has also worked as a freelancer for Gay City News and The Capital Gazette. Nate has a bachelor’s degree in multimedia communication and journalism from Olivet Nazarene University.
