Quartz has launched its first paid product

Quartz is introducing its first paid subscription product called Quartz Private Key, which will provide news on cryptocurrency and blockchain twice a week for $15 a month.

Readers can sign-up here.  It will be delivered on Tuesdays and Fridays, and the first email will be on Wednesday, Sept. 5.

Quartz Private Key is designed to be clear enough for beginners with the depth in its reporting to satisfy experts.

Quartz Private Key will be staffed by Quartz editorial staffers. Contributors include cryptocurrency reporter Matthew De Silva, global finance and economics editor Jason Karaian, future of finance reporter John Detrixhe, technology and markets writers Dave Edwards and Helen Edwards, Quartz India finance reporter Nupur Anand, and Hong Kong-based Quartz technology and business reporter Devjyot Ghoshal.

Quartz has reported on cryptocurrencies since its inception in 2012. One of Quartz’s first editorial obsessions was bitcoin, and the online readership of Quartz’s Future of Finance coverage increased 10 times in 2017.

Tokyo-based Uzabase announced in July the acquisition of Quartz from Atlantic Media for $75 million to $110 million, depending on Quartz’s performance for the full year.
