Protocol has tapped Tim Grieve as editor-in-chief. He recently served as executive editor.
Grieve has also held various leadership roles at Politico, including serving as deputy managing editor, assistant managing editor, managing editor. He was also the founding editor-in-chief of Politico Pro. He left Politico in 2013 to serve as editor-in-chief of the National Journal.
He then led the news division at McClatchy as head of news strategies and then as VP, news. Earlier in his career, he has written for Salon Media Group and has reported for The Sacramento Bee.
Grieve has a B.A. from Stanford University, where he was editor-in-chief of the student paper The Stanford Daily.
