Port reporter is missed in Charleston

This question-and-answer was included in the public editor’s column of the Charleston (S.C.) Post and Courier this morning:

Q: I was wondering what happened to the column about the ports that used to appear in the Monday Business Section. Steve, Mount Pleasant.

A: The reporter who wrote that column no longer works here and has not yet been replaced. There is not a reporter on the staff assigned full time to cover the port.

Sounds like it’s time to hire a new ports reporter.
