Christopher Miller has joined Politico as a world and national security reporter. In his new role, Miller will be “covering the war in Ukraine and the swirl of geopolitics around this growing conflict.”
He will also be working closely with colleagues in Europe and the U.S. to bring readers distinctive coverage via stories, newsletter items, in-person briefings, podcasts and more.
Miller has spent years working as a foreign correspondent reporting from Ukraine and around Eastern Europe. He joins from BuzzFeed News, where he was a reporter. Before that, he was a Ukraine correspondent at Radio Free Europe/Radio Liberty, based in Kyiv.
He has also covered foreign affairs, with a focus on global conflict and crisis for Mashable. Miller’s work has also been published by The Guardian, The Telegraph, The Times, Politico Europe, Vice News, and CNN.
Miller was also a news editor and reporter on the Kyiv Post team that won the 2014 Missouri Honor Medal for Distinguished Service in Journalism for coverage of events in Ukraine that year.
Miller graduated from Portland State University.
