Liz Nichols writes, “Totten joins the Business Journal from Arizona State University’s Walter Cronkite School of Journalism and Mass Communication, where he was a managing digital producer for the Cronkite Borderland Initiative and the 2015 project of the Carnegie-Knight News21 program, “Weed Rush.” He has worked at the Arizona Republic and written freelance articles for several Spanish-language publications.
“Totten, an Arizona native, received bachelor’s degrees in English and Spanish from ASU, then completed his master’s degree in journalism and mass communication from the Cronkite School. He is fluent in Spanish and has traveled in Peru, Costa Rica and Mexico.
“Totten primarily will cover retail and restaurants, hospitality and tourism, small business and nonprofits for the Journal.”
