Bloomberg has promoted Wendy Benjaminson to the role of deputy managing editor, Bloomberg Politics.
Previously, she was politics editor. She replaces Kevin Whitelaw in her new role.
Before joining Bloomberg, Benjaminson was managing editor at McClatchy. She was also managing editor, government and politics, at USA Today.
Benjaminson has also been with the Associated Press for over 12 years. There, she has served as Texas news editor, national security editor/assistant bureau chief and acting Washington bureau chief.
She has worked at the Houston Chronicle for 12 years and was previously a deputy political editor at The Associated Press. She was trade and White House reporter at Market News Service.
Additionally, she has worked at United Press International and The Washington Times.
Benjaminson is a graduate of the University of Maryland College Park.
