Joe Pompeo of Yahoo News caught up with new Forbes CEO Mike Perlis and asked him about the changes going on at the business news magazine led by chief content officer Lewis Dvorkin.
“Asked about his personal vision for Forbes and how he might build on the ‘content continuum’ D’Vorkin has established, Perlis demurred.
“‘My approach clearly is going to be to listen to the smart people inside of Forbes, and also to spend a lot of time in the marketplace,’ he said.
“Perlis was also hesitant to say whether Forbes will function principally as a print or a web publication in the future. The magazine has a circulation of roughly 900,000; Forbes.com has lately been averaging between 8 and 9 million unique monthly visitors, according to the web-traffic tracker Compete.”
