New editor named at TechJournal South

Allan Maurer is the new editor of TechJournal South, a business publication that covers, what else, the tech industry in the Southeast.

Maurer has covered technology and biotechnology in the Southeast for years, and brings with him years of in-depth technology, science, venture capital and business reporting.

Maurer most recently served as senior editor at North Carolina Magazine, the state chamber publication.

Previously, Maurer served as founder of an award-wining regional technology and business web publication, acquired by Capitol Broadcasting, and served as a senior correspondent for a national venture capital-backed media firm covering the venture capital and technology communities.

Maurer also covered technology news for 12 years for the science and technology oriented OMNI magazine.

Over the years, Maurer’s technology business and venture capital reporting have also appeared in a number of other regional and national publications from Modern Maturity to Playboy.
