New business mag in New England

Jay Fitzgerald of the Boston Herald writes Monday about new business magazine Business New England.

Fitzgerald wrote, “The magazine, which Kasper plans to launch next spring, will be published six times a year and initially distributed for free, he said.

“Kasper has already sent out kits to potential advertisers outlining ad rates and editorial content.

“The magazine is billed as a business-to-business publication that ‘reaches managers and executives of mid-size and larger New England companies.’ Advertising literature suggests Business New England will focus on ‘how-to’ and ‘best practices’ stories, addressing topics such as ‘conducting an image audit for your organization,’ or ‘gaining better access to overseas markets.’

“‘We’re not providing market data, breaking business news or repeats of what you’ll find in city business journals,’ says a ‘Business New England’ marketing brochure recently distributed to advertisers.”
