New biz magazine in Dallas

The new magazine is called DallasCEO, and it is being created by D Magazine. The first issue will hit newsstands in May, according to a short article in the Dallas Morning News this morning.

The News writes, “The company tried a business magazine in the late 1990s, but it wasn’t clearly focused, Mr. Allison says. ‘It was sent to our subscribers, not to business leaders.’

“Regular features in DallasCEO include articles about entrepreneurs and small companies, local and regional economic issues, and business trends.

“It also includes ‘indulgences’ – a section devoted to luxury products, services and travel destinations tailored to high-end executives.

“It’s billed as a sophisticated magazine that will be mailed directly to the city’s elite business leaders and will have a press run of 15,000 copies. It will also be available by subscription for $54 a year.”
