Steve Liner is the new business editor at the Tallahassee Democrat, but he’s not new to the organization. Liner has been editor of a sister publication called Business Matters.
In his Tuesday column, Liner wrote, “A couple of weeks ago I took on the title of business editor for the Democrat, our parent publication. Rule 1 was that I stay in my seat as editor of Business Matters, my first love. My duties will change around a bit, and my focus will broaden to include the magazine, the daily and our online business presentation to you.
“There is much that is changing here, and that will become clear to you in the coming weeks, but the thing that has impressed me most is the emphasis on local coverage online and every day. Woohoo! About dang time! I’m excited that our business staff will be totally focused on being in the know and sharing that knowledge with you – about our communities. More on that later.”
