Elvina Nawaguna, who covers energy and environment for CQ Roll Call, has been hired by Business Insider in its Washington bureau to be a deputy editor
She will start next month.
Nawaguna has been at CQ Roll Call since April 2016 focusing on agencies, states and Congressional action. Her stories ranged from what is happening to the coal industry to the White House’s climate and environment policies..
She previously worked at MNI International covering oil, energy and economic indicators. She also worked at Reuters in Washington and as a business reporter for The Lakeland (Fla.) Ledger.
Nawaguna holds a master’s degree in business journalism from Arizona State University.
