Nashville Biz Journal reporter Burnett promoted to national role
Marq Burnett, who has covered entertainment, restaurants, tourism and sports business for the Nashville Business Journal since 2019, has been promoted to a new role with American City Business Journals, the NBJ’s parent company.
A Business Journal story states, “Burnett will join the national content team at American City Business Journals as associate editor of The Playbook, which produces content focused on the real-world problems and opportunities that business owners and executives face in running their organizations.
“His role will involve telling in-depth stories detailing the successes, obstacles and opportunities of entrepreneurs and executives while also shaping ACBJ’s national coverage of diversity, equity and inclusion in the business world and the economy.
“‘Marq has a passion for people-focused storytelling that will perfectly complement the work we’re doing at Playbook,’ said The Playbook Editor-in-Chief Ty West. ‘We’re thrilled to add him to our team.’
