The Colorado Sun has hired Shannon Najmabadi as a reporter covering rural affairs and the economy.
She will write about business, agriculture and and energy, among other topics. Previously, she was a reporter at The Texas Tribune.
Her work has also appeared in MSN, Business Insider, The Dallas Morning News, El Paso Times, Pulitzer Center on Crisis Reporting, Texas Public Radio and other outlets.
Najmabadi is a graduate of Columbia University in New York.
