Kristin Myers, a Yahoo Finance anchor who left earlier this month, has been named editor in chief of personal finance site The Balance.
The Balance was founded in 2016 and has more than 19 million monthly visitors.
“I am so excited to take this next step in my career and to continue having important conversations about all things personal finance,” she wrote on Twitter.
She hosts the politics-focused 1 p.m. hour of Yahoo Finance Live each weekday. She is also one of the creators and hosts of “A Time for Change,” a weekly half-hour program that explores race, diversity, and inclusion in the world of business, finance, politics, and beyond.
Myers specializes in the intersection of politics, race, and finance. Before joining Yahoo, she helped launch Al Jazeera America, and worked at Bloomberg News and NBC News.
The Balance is part of Dotdash. Its other brands include Verywell, Investopedia, The Spruce, Simply Recipes, Serious Eats, Byrdie, Brides, MyDomaine, Lifewire, TripSavvy, Liquor.com, TreeHugger and Thoughtco.
