Morningstar has hired Barron’s senior writer Leslie Norton as its editorial director of sustainability.
She will start Sept. 7.
“Working at Barron’s was one of the greatest experiences of my life,” she wrote on LinkedIn. “Thank you to my magnificent former colleagues, and to all of you who provided the best information to Barron’s readers.”
Norton has been at Barron’s since 1993, initially writing the flagship weekly column about mutual funds. She has also been Asia editor and a foreign stocks reporter.
In her most recent role, she oversees the Q&A, or the department of long-form interviews at Barron’s. Subjects have included Nobel laureates Robert Shiller and Joseph Stiglitz, value investor Jeremy Grantham, and the late, great Jack Bogle, father of index investing.
Norton holds a bachelor’s degree from Yale University and a master’s degree from Columbia University.
