Money magazine managing editor Craig Matters sent out the following staff hire announcement on Tuesday:
We’re happy to announce that Laura Goldstein, former managing editor of AOL Money & Finance and executive editor of This Old House, is joining us as digital deputy editor, starting Wednesday. Laura is known in Time Inc. and wider circles as a skilled manager of people and projects.
She has a broad range of knowledge about the topics we cover, from real estate to finance (she did a stint at Drexel in the days of Milken) to careers (she was the editor of Working Woman). Laura has freelance edited and written for us over the years and, as some of you know, she and Craig go way back (to college; you’ll have to figure out yourselves how long ago that was). We couldn’t be happier to have someone so sharp and experienced help lead our re-launch.
As we mentioned earlier, also coming on board this week (Friday) is Jake Davidson as reporter/producer. And we’re still on the hunt for the right info-graphics person.
