Modern Healthcare has promoted Erica Teichert from news editor to managing editor, digital.
In her new role, she will use data and analytics to guide the publication’s digital strategy for news coverage, web enterprise stories and multimedia. She will continue to manage the brand’s day-to-day news operations and assignments.
In an email to staff, editor-in-chief Aurora Aguilar said: “Over the past year, Erica has used all of the audience behavior tools at our disposal to understand what compels our readers and we’ve all benefited from it. Our decision-making is smarter and the engagement with our audience has grown exponentially. Her keen insight on what resonates with our readers cannot be denied and as we move toward expanding our digital offerings, her experience will be invaluable.”
Teichert joined Modern Healthcare in 2016 as New York bureau chief and legal reporter. She became its news editor in February 2017.
Previously, she worked as a legal reporter for Reuters, and D.C. court reporter and D.C. bureau chief for Law360.
