The beat involves coverage of artificial intelligence regulation in the UK. MLex seeks to get ahead of the procedural story through deep-dive analyses of legislation to anticipate where regulatory problems may lie. It’s a high-pressure beat in which there’s an expectation you’ll break market-moving news while offering the forward-looking analysis that helps inform decision-makers.

We also publish in-depth reporting and commentary, and the AI Correspondent will be expected to identify risks posed by legislation ahead of our competitors and use this expertise to write in-depth, big impact investigations and commentary pieces.
The AI Correspondent will work with our Senior AI Correspondent to lead coverage of artificial intelligence in the UK, while working closely with colleagues in other bureaux and the broader data, privacy and security team.
The successful candidate must be able to write clearly and concisely in impeccable English. Fluency in any other additional European language would be a distinct advantage.
