Financial news site MLex has hired Hugo Coelho, formerly of InsuranceERM, to cover financial regulation from London.
He’ll cover regulation and policy there while helping on insurance regulation worldwide plus some European banking stories.
Coelho had been with InsuranceERM in London since June 2014, writing about regulatory themes relevant for insurers – capital requirements, liquidity, central clearing, resolution, compensation, conduct, global standards. He’s also been a contributor to Policy Network since May 2013.
Coelho also worked as a reporter for Risk and as a political correspondent for Diário de Notícias.
He has a bachelor’s degree in political science and international relations from Universidade Nova de Lisboa and a master’s degree in journalism from the University of Westminster.
