Liz Heitzman, the business editor of the Columbia Daily Tribune, announced changed to the business section in Tuesday’s paper, including the fact that the Tuesday biz section front will be lost to sports.
Heitzman wrote, “But even though the Tuesday cover is going away, expanded business coverage in every weekday Tribune will more than make up the difference. There will be new daily theme pages – Your Money Monday, Tech Tuesday, Career Wednesday, Farm Thursday and Auto Friday. In addition, you’ll see expanded space for daily business coverage. These pages will be found on 4B and 5B each weekday.”
Later, she added, “You’ll also see changes in your Saturday Business section starting this weekend. We’re converting to a more magazine-like cover, with teasers and photographs to let you know more about what’s inside each week’s issue. You’ll also find the Darkow cartoon in a new, more prominent position, and the cover story will move to the center spread to allow expanded coverage and better presentation. You’ll find favorites such as Street Talk and Grand Opening in the same spots as always, even as the order of pages in the section changes a bit. Also look for the new feature Biz Books, in which you’ll find reviews of business tomes.”
