Kara McGuire, the personal finance columnist for the Minneapolis Star-Tribune, said goodbye to readers this weekend after seven years of writing the column.
“That’s flat-out wrong. Business matters. It’s all around you. It affects your personal finances and your employer’s bottom line. I’m not telling you to read every story word for word, but you owe it to yourselves, your career and your retirement fund to pay attention to the companies and people doing business around you.”
McGuire also blogeds on personal finance, investing and consumer issues. She was also the digital producer for the business section. McGuire also wrote a column for Minnesota Parent magazine.
Her new job is with Iconoculture, a Minneapolis consumer research company.
