MarketWatch.com has hired two new personal finance reporters — Alessandra Malito and Kari Paul.
They both started on Monday.
Malito began her reporting career at a Long Island community newspaper when she was 15 years old. In the decade since, she has graduated with a bachelor’s degree in journalism from Stony Brook University and a master’s degree from the CUNY Graduate School of Journalism.
Most recently, she was the technology reporter at Investment News, an industry newspaper for financial advisers. Her byline has appeared in the Wall Street Journal, New York Times Lens blog, NBCNews.com and Newsday.com.
Paul is a Brooklyn-based writer covering technology, politics, and culture. Her work has appeared at VICE magazine, The Week, New York magazine, Elle, Cosmopolitan, and Quartz.
Most recently she covered the 2016 elections as a contributor at Complex magazine. Previously, she wrote for VICE’s Motherboard, where she covered tech policy, privacy, and the digital divide.
