Ben Levisohn has been named managing editor for markets, managing the daily markets coverage, at Barron’s.
He will also write the Trader column.
Levisohn has been with Barron’s since December 2012, first as the emerging markets editor and then as a markets reporter and blogger. He wrote Streetwise, a weekly column offering opinions on market issues ranging from stock valuation and sector leadership to Fed policy. Levisohn quintupled traffic for the blog Stocks to Watch by creating content about individual equities and the stock market.
He’s a former reporter at The Wall Street Journal, BusinessWeek and at Bloomberg News.
Levisohn is a former trader who returned to college to receive a master’s in journalism from the CUNY Graduate School of Journalism.
