Lyndsey Layton has been appointed deputy editor of the climate and environment team at The Post.
There, she will be overseeing coverage with Trish Wilson. Also, she will help drive The Post’s daily news report while taking primary responsibility for shaping the Climate Solutions initiative.
Her new role begins Dec. 16.
Previously, Lyndsey was serving as the Metro politics editor for Virginia and the District, handling storylines that demand intense daily coverage. She has also worked at the Patriot Ledger and the Hartford Courant during her start-up years.
Lyndsey is a graduate of Wesleyan University with a degree in government and political theory.
