The Wall Street Journal has named Robin Kwong as its new formats editor.
He replaces Cory Schouten, who left to become editor in chief of Crain’s New York Business. The position oversees newsletters, data projects such as rankings, and other new formats.
Kwong previously was newsroom innovation chief, a position he has been in since 2019. Kwong was previously the head of digital delivery at the Financial Times, a position he has held since June 2017. Before that, he was special projects editor.
Kwong was also the tech, media and telecoms news editor at the FT, as well as its Taipei correspondent. He previously worked at the South China Morning Post.
