Austin Karp, most recently assistant managing editor at Sports Business Daily, has been promoted to managing editor digital for the Sports Business Journal.
He started his new position, where he’ll work on the development of vertical newsletters and other editorial efforts, on Monday.
Karp has been at American City Business Journals since August 2006, first as a research associate and as an assistant managing editor for the past 10 years. In that role, he led planning and execution of all research and statistical analysis for the publication. He also acted as key point of contact at publication for TV networks, research organizations, leagues, and franchises.
He previously was an attorney.
Karp holds a bachelor’s degree from Georgia Tech and a law degree from the University of Toledo.
