Caitlin Hu is joining CNN Digital International as a senior editor based in New York.
In her role she will be commissioning, coordinating and driving international coverage across CNN Digital platforms. She will work closely with CNN International leadership and news gathering teams in Atlanta and beyond, and across the digital portfolio.
The role covers a crucial time zone, connecting the London and Hong Kong units, and will assist in overseeing and managing site programming and performance alongside Tom Gottlieb in New York with particular emphasis on the Americas and early Asia Pacific audiences.
She will, alongside other digital editors, take a leading role in targeting and growing audiences in key markets through tailored content and strategic programming based on actionable data.
Hu has been at Quartz where she was the geopolitical editor, a busy beat in the current news cycle. She has covered countless breaking news, investigations and news stories, including covering the UN General Assembly. She has reported from across Europe, Middle East and North Africa. Prior she was the editor of COLORS magazine in Italy.
