Carmen Heredia Rodriguez, a reporter covering health care for Kaiser Health News, has left to attend Johns Hopkins Bloomberg School of Public Health full-time to earn her master’s in public health
Rodriguez has been with Kaiser Health News for five years and has also searched and aggregated health-related articles for “Morning Briefing” and “California Healthline Daily Edition,” two weekday newsletters with approximately 100,000 subscribers combined.
She started as an intern at the newsroom in 2016.
Rodriguez has also interned at South Bend Tribune and Indiana University Health.
Her work has also been featured in CNN Business, The Guardian, The Washington Post, Time Magazine, USA Today, Newsweek, NPR, PBS, The Atlantic, The Daily Beast, The Mercury News, Yahoo, Tampa Bay Times, Poynter Online, Los Angeles Daily News, Chicago Tribune and more.
Rodriguez holds a bachelor’s degree in journalism from Indiana University Bloomington where she also worked as a service and social media assistant and as a research assistant.
