James Grant, a former Barron’s writer who later launched the highly regarded and closely followed Grant’s Interest Rate Observer, will now write two columns a month for Barron’s, in both print and digital.
The collaboration marks the return of “The Current Yield” column, which Grant had founded at the magazine previously.
“It’s an honor and a pleasure to be back” said Grant.
The partnership between Grant’s Interest Rate Observer and Barron’s Group, which houses MarketWatch.com, Mansion Global and its flagship title Barron’s, also includes live journalism events.
The events, which are held throughout the year and feature Grant in discussion with notable names in the financial services and investment communities, are moderated by Dow Jones Wealth & Asset Management Associate Publisher Jack Otter.
“We’re delighted to partner with Jim Grant and welcome him back to his old home” said Barron’s Group Publisher Almar Latour. “Our members will benefit greatly from his unique brand of financial journalism, be it in the magazine, online or at live events.”
